Lavender Skies
I dream of lavender skies especially during this time
but I keep it to myself
the lavender skies are all I think about ‘
and when the quiet begins to settle, & the sky turns dark,
I understand now the lavender skies are my dreams
and mine alone
so I keep them to myself

I forgot about Bisan today
and the guilt washed over me
so I dedicated my practice to her
my intentions,
my life,
that as long as I’m alive,
so is her dream
and so is she

Untitled
if I am no longer caring
about the injustices of other people,
then I am no longer breathing.
then I am no longer who I am.
I am no longer the person I am meant to be
you and me
take a seat &
I’ll take the other,
and we’ll take the train
across state lines;
and we’ll watch the sunrise
and maybe,
just maybe,
we can make sense of the
world around us.
and maybe the grief isn’t so heavy,
and maybe the sadness isn’s so gigantic,
and maybe your seat
and my seat
are just meant to be next to each other.
so take a seat
& I’ll take the other.
